The Tylers of Texas Series
Janet Dailey
In the vein of Janet Dailey’s iconic Calder novels, the Publishers Weekly bestselling
Tylers of Texas series brings readers the lives and loves of a powerful ranching
family. In this exciting fifth installment, rustlers, a long-standing feud and an old
enemy threaten Rimrock Ranch.
She’s a woman with a burning need to break free from her past…
Rose Landro is on the run. Seeking refuge at the Rimrock Ranch, she is finally ready to claim the land her granddaddy left her and make a fresh

start. But her return is rife with controversy when cattle begin disappearing—and a handsome menace named Tanner McCade starts watching
Rose a little too closely. Could the new cowhand be connected to the men she’s hiding from? Or is there another reason the rugged stranger is
shadowing her every move?
He’s a man ready to fight boldly for his future…
There’s a secret in Rose Landro’s eyes, a mystery that Special Ranger Tanner McCade is determined to uncover. Even if the beauty isn’t behind the
cattle rustling he’s investigating, she’s way too skittish, and all too exquisite for Tanner to just let slide past his piercing gaze. Then he discovers a

MURDER FLIES THE COOP
The Beryl and Edwina Mystery Series
Jessica Ellicott
One would hardly call them birds of a feather, but thrill-seeking American
adventuress Beryl Helliwell and quietly reserved Brit Edwina Davenport do one
thing very well together—solve murders…
Sharing lodging in the sleepy English village of Walmsley Parva has eased some of the financial strain on the two old school chums, but money
is still tight in the lean years following the Great War. All of Beryl’s ex-husbands have proven reluctant to part with her alimony, which is most
inconvenient.
So when the local vicar—and pigeon-racing club president—approaches them with a private inquiry opportunity, the ladies eagerly accept.
For Beatrice Powell, the holidays are usually an extra-special time to celebrate. Between her twenty-year-plus marriage, gorgeous Berkeley,
California home, and three wonderful adult children, she has everything she could desire. But change-of-life doubts are making Beatrice
a stranger to herself and her bewildered family. She only finds peace volunteering at the local soup kitchen, especially helping out homeless
Charles Davenport. And his sensitivity and honesty soon comfort her in ways she never imagined…

THE TESTAMENT OF HAROLD’S WIFE
Lynne Hugo
From award-winning author Lynne Hugo comes a witty, insightful, refreshingly
unsentimental novel about one woman’s unconventional path from heartbreak to
hope…
After losing her husband, Harold, and her beloved grandson, Cody, within the past year, Louisa has two choices. She can fade away on her
Indiana family farm, where her companionship comes courtesy of her aging chickens and an argumentative cat. Or, she can concoct A Plan.
Louisa, a retired schoolteacher who’s as smart, sassy, and irreverent as ever, isn’t the fading away type.
The drunk driver who killed Cody got off scot-free by lying about a deer on the road. Harold had tried to take matters into his own hands, but
was thwarted by Gus, the local sheriff. Now Louisa decides to take up Harold’s cause, though it will mean outsmarting Gus, who’s developed an
unwelcome crush on her, and staying ahead of her adult son who’s found solace in a money-draining cult and terrible art.

CARMINE THE SNAKE
Frank DiMatteo and Michael Benson
Today, Carmine “The Snake” Persico schmoozes with Ponzi king Bernard Madoff
behind bars, where at age 84 Persico’s legend, packed as it is with coldblooded
brutality, continues to inspire goodfellas everywhere through this shocking true story
of the most ruthless and deadly mob boss in the annals of the American Mafia.
In the golden age of organized crime, Carmine “The Snake” Persico was the King of the Streets. The defacto boss of the Colombo Mafia family
since the 1970s, he oversaw gang wars, murders, and major rackets, even from prison. He is suspected of personally murdering as many as 60
people and ordering the hits of hundreds more. Sentenced to 139 years, he continued to exert power over a vast criminal empire from behind
bars. His brutal rise and bloody reign is the stuff of legend.
CITADEL PRESS THARDCOVER SEPTEMBER 2018
In this blistering street-level account, “Mafia survivor” Frank DiMatteo teams up with true-crime master Michael Benson to take down one of the
most notorious figures in the American La Cosa Nostra. This is the real inside story of Carmine “The Snake” Persico, from his crime-filled childhood
on the streets of Brooklyn to the long-term jail sentences that didn’t stop him from controlling his criminal empire with the help of his brother, the
equally kill-crazy Alphonse “Allie Boy” Persico.
His deadly teen years as leader of the fearsome Garfield Boys. His induction into the Profaci—later the Colombo—crime family. His bloody
betrayal of the Gallo brothers. His role in the hair-raising ambush-slaying of Albert Anastasia—the Lord High Executioner of Murder, Inc.—as he
