Bangladesh Institute of Theatre Arts (BITA), an apex national rights-based NGO in

c. Worked as a Team Leader of the project titled ‘Developing Human Rights

d. Awarded a full fellowship to participate in the Second EURASIA-Net Summer School
on Minority Rights, held in Kathmandu, Nepal, from 17 to 28 August, organised by the
Institute for Minority Rights, Bolzano, Italy.
e. Awarded a fellowship by Forum on Women in Security and International Affairs
(FOWSIA) Dhaka, Bangladesh, under the Young Professional Fellowship Program to
conduct a research on ‘Women and the Law of Citizenship in Bangladesh: A Study of
Rights from the Gender Perspective’ in the year of 2002.

Research Background:

a. Conducted a research on ‘Combating Trafficking in Women and Children in


Bangladesh: A Rights Based Approach’. This research work has been submitted in
partial fulfillment of the requirement for the degree of Masters of Laws in Human Rights,
University of Hong Kong in the year 2009.

publication by the International Labour Organization (ILO), Geneva in the year of
2007.
d. Conducting a research on ‘Regulating Ship Breaking Industry in Bangladesh:
Towards a Better Legal Regime’ under a fellowship program sponsored by the
Manusher Janno Foundation in 2008.

e. Conducted a joint research on ‘Laws Relating to Domestic Violence against Women in


Bangladesh: An Overview’. This research work was presented in the First International
Residential Training Workshop on ‘Bangladesh Women in International Security’
organized by Forum on Women in Security and International Affairs (FOWSIA), held
in Dhaka, Bangladesh during December 21-27, 2001.

f. Conducted a research on ‘Women and the Law of Citizenship in Bangladesh: A Study
