POP vs Gypsum board

Gypsum can either be turned into gypsum board or remain in its powder form and be
called "Plaster of Paris" or POP
Gypsum board make the assembly work easier, the lines are straighter, however, the POP put to
use for filling the gaps their-after, or for making curved surfaces.
POP sheets are made by laborers on site which are cost effective but not durable. If there will be
any leakage in future pop may not hold it and can fall in form of powder as i said it is made by
laborers on site but gypsum can hold the leakage and false ceiling would not fall in form of
pieces.
The process of installation is also faster than when using POP. One of the main reason why
gypsum boards are used for false ceiling is because of its inertness towards water.
