Hypothesis Write a clear statement of how you think the variables relate to
each other in the lab. Do not just say they are related! Give an
indication about the type of relation; i.e. directly, inversely,
inverse square, or even none.
You may use pictures from the lab but include some annotations
telling what is the device or how used.

Procedure This section should identify and name all experimental variables
and briefly describe how the independent variables are controlled.
Someone who was not present during the lab should be able to
understand how to perform the experiment by reading your
procedure. You may choose any neat and orderly format – just be
complete enough so another college student is able to follow your
directions.
Data Data consists only of those values measured directly from the
experimental apparatus.
Calculations This section will use the quantitative data from above and show
(as needed) how any calculations were perform. It is not necessary to show
all calculations. A sample of each type of calculation is sufficient.
Label the calculation and include units.
Data Table This section will show a data table of the quantitative
and Graph observations and the results of calculations. The table should at
(as needed) least include the dependent and independent variables. Be sure
each column is labeled and include units.
Discussion If there are Discussion Questions then add these Answers before
(optional) the conclusion. If there are classroom discussions of the lab
results then include notes and the general concepts developed.
