Ailanto is located in Fortuna de Bagaces, about 50 kilometers from the Liberia International Airport,
(45 Minutes by car) right at the foothills of the inactive Miravalles Volcano.

Although on a clear day the ocean can be seen from Ailanto, the nearest beach is located around 1
hour away by car but just minutes by helicopter.

Bagaces is known as the “Cradle of Ecology” and we have taken advantage of such a wonderful
location to create The Ailanto Recreation Area within the Miravalles Volcano protected area, a
National Preserve.

The Ailanto Recreation Area includes the Wellness Resort and Spa, a 33 hectare private gated
community with Private Residences, Condominiums, a planned 120 suite hotel, the 30 hectare
Adventure camp is for the eco-tourists where they enjoy a canopy tour and hike all the way up to the

Health Tourism
Health tourism is an old concept. People have been traveling from their home countries to other
parts of the world for centuries in search of new personal medical treatments. The reasons for this
form
of tourism are as varied as the travelers. People choose Costa Rica medical services for two main
reasons: high quality and reasonable prices.
Rising healthcare costs in the United States and Canada have been the greatest boost to
international health tourism, but are by no means the only factor driving this new industry. The main
engine driving the new wellness revolution is the baby boomers, the population born between 1945
and 1964. One billion baby boomers turn 60 this year and are looking for effective strategies to stay
healthy, young-looking, and more active. This population represents only 16% of the world population
but controls 65% of its wealth and resources. Baby boomers are considering the higher quality and
wider spectrum of health care services offered in Costa Rica and other Latin American destinations.

Some important trends guarantee that the market for medical tourism will continue to expand in the
years ahead. By 2015, the health of the vast Baby Boom generation will have begun its slow decline,
and with more than 220 million Boomers in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia and New
Zealand, this represents a significant market for high-quality medical care.

 Conventional Tourism
At 50,895 square kilometers, Costa Rica is the second-smallest Central American nation after El
Salvador. While occupying only .06% of the planet’s land mass, it boasts 6% of the world’s
biodiversity. At its narrowest point in the south, only 119 km separate the Caribbean from the Pacific.
One can savor a leisurely breakfast on the Caribbean and take an ambling five-hour drive to the
Pacific for dinner. At its broadest point, Costa Rica is a mere 280 km wide.

Lying between 8 and 11 degrees north of the equator, Costa Rica sits wholly within the tropics; it
boasts more than a dozen distinct climatic zones. Atop the highest mountains in cooler months, even
ice and snow aren’t unknown.

Costa Rica sits astride a jagged series of volcanoes and mountains, part of the great Andean-Sierra
Madre chain, which runs the length of the western littoral of the Americas. From the Pacific coast of
Costa Rica, great cones and domes dominate the landscape, and you’re usually in sight of
volcanoes in the northern part of the country.

Beaches are a major calling card of Costa Rica’s Pacific coast, which is deeply indented with
bays, inlets and two large gulfs, the Golfo de Nicoya (in the north) and Golfo Dulce (in the south).

7500-acre protected area, with its own micro-climate; it enjoys warm days and cool nights. It is the

 Eco-Tourism

Eco-tourism, also known as ecological tourism, is a form

of tourism which appeals to the ecologically and socially
Conscious. Generally speaking, Eco-tourism focuses on local
culture, wilderness adventures, volunteering, personal growth,
and learning new ways to live on the planet. Eco-tourism
usually involves travel to destinations where flora, fauna, and
cultural heritage are the primary attractions. Responsible Eco-
tourism includes programs that minimize the negative aspects
of conventional tourism on the environment, and enhance the
cultural integrity of local people. In addition to enjoying the
environmental and cultural aspects, an integral part of Eco-
tourism is in the promotion of recycling, energy efficiency, water
conservation, and creation of economic opportunities for the
local communities.

1% of Ailanto’s operating revenue has been earmarked for

improvement of the local roads, village and services for the
residents of Fortuna and Bagaces.

Ailanto will establish a free training center to teach the

English language to those who wish to learn and to train
its workers in the Ailanto culture of service and customer
satisfaction. In exchange, our residents teaching English
can receive Spanish lessons so that they can also learn
how to communicate with their neighbors.

Day 1:

Arrive at Ailanto- Check into your

accommodations, relax and unwind. This is a
good time to reflect on your goals for the
retreat. Before you retire for a good night’s
sleep we will first take care of your medical
information, our resident physicians will do a check up to evaluate your health. Time permitting you will
be free to enjoy Ailanto’s many amenities

Day 2:

Meso American Healing Experience – Immerse yourself in the past, learn and practice as to how the
natives from these lands took care of their minds, bodies and souls. Begin with the Welcome 4 Point
Dance and spend the day learning and living with your environment. Added to that enjoy YOMED, our
unique Yoga performed on tree platforms and be sure to spend lots of time in our Temazcales and
thermal waters

Journey To New Frontiers - During this session our nutritional therapist will work with you to initiate
healthy changes in your diet that are simple yet, effective. Then you will learn how to prepare these
healthy meals.

Day 3:

Anti-Stress Training – Today we spend preparing you for your return to the non-Ailanto World. Learn
the ten Anti-Stress steps and apply them from now on for a healthy living.

Step 1: Identify your main stressors

Step 2: Learn to live with your unchangeable stressors
Step 3: Write an action plan for the stressors you can change
Step 4: Define your management’s expectations
Step 5: Don’t gripe!
Step 6: Organize your time: set priorities
Step 7: Develop responses

Step 9: Beat stress at your desk with breathing and relaxation techniques

Anti-Aging Classes – Let our Medical Staff show you how to stay young and fit. In this session we
share products with you to keep your skin young and healthy and just as important, a nutrition session
because we are what we eat and you can stay young by eating the proper foods. Visit with our Aesthetic
Physicians for a one-on-one evaluation and plan of action

Aromatherapy Session – The use of volatile plant oils, including essential oils, for psychological and
physical well-being. We will pamper you and have you return to Ailanto very soon.

Day 4:

Depart Ailanto-But not before a healthy breakfast and a final Cheerio-come-back to-see us-again. Don’t
forget to pick up your departing gift and our best wishes for your safe return to your present home but
with the expectation of seeing you again in your new home… Ailanto

Day 1:

Day 2:

Day 3:

Hot Stone Massage - This deeply relaxing session releases tension using smooth, dark river stones
prepared with hot oil. Sink into this warm, nurturing treatment and you
receive a deep tissue or Swedish massage as well.

Emotional Clearing Sessions/Life Coaching - Activate and empower

yourself to create your own future when you learn to release the past!
This session is designed to energetically remove and lift years of emotional
damage: clearing, balancing, realigning and repairing Chakras and other
energy bodies. You will address an important part of your life, your
emotions, be sure to be ready to share and to learn how important it is to
share

Meditation/breathing classes – Now you begin to re-learn something that comes natural to all of us,
our ability to think deep, ignore the outside world and concentrate in our inner world, in the meantime
breathing the way that our bodies were designed to do

Day 4:

Holistic Fitness with Qigong - As relaxing as it is invigorating, this holistic fitness session will inspire
you to pursue radiant health. The session includes Pilates- influenced exercises, Qigong, assisted
stretching, culminating in a short meditation to find your balance.

Mud Baths – Now is time for a short trip (about 1 Kilometer, you can walk if you want, and arrive to our
Living Volcanic Crater. Here you experience the warm volcanic mud as you see it bubbling earth and
fumaroles. Don’t worry, we have taking care of your safety, we have tempered the mud’s heat. Enjoy all
that this park has to offer, including thermal waters, natural saunas, wagon trips to the waterfalls.
Canopy – This time we will drive you to our Adventure Park for our Canopy experience, but don’t forget
to hike with the animals, climb the hollow tree or just simply gaze at the Costa Rican splendid mountain
range.

Day 5:

Massage - Revitalize your body and increase your energy flow! Pick
the massage that you would like and our experts will accommodate
you, then step into Ailanto’s Temazcales and practice your Hot Yoga
or simply just relax sipping teas and enjoying what it’s around you.
Take as much or as little time as you desire because the afternoon is
open for you to select the activity that you wish to do, from going to
our Gym for personal training, grabbing few golf balls and honing your
skills, walking our beautiful paths, fishing for your next meal at our
Tilapia lake (don’t worry, we will clean and prepare the fish for you), or
simply lounging in our Thermal waters while sipping our health juices
or delicious wines.

 All Inclusive, means everything is covered from your airplane tickets (Coach Allowance of
$900.00) from anywhere in the world to your 5 star accommodations, meals, drinks, such as
juices and bottled water, our extensive list of wines not included. We do not serve any other
alcohol and the open usage of our facilities.
 You can use your Coach Allowance and upgrade to First Class for an additional payment, if you
use Ailanto Travel Services, if we can obtain a less expensive ticket for you, then we
will credit you with the savings.
 You will be met by your personal retreat guide, receive your welcome packet and finalized
retreat itinerary.
 Private Yoga Instruction - Choose from various forms of yoga, such as YOMED, Hatha,
Iyengar, Kundalini, Bikram (Hot) or Vinyasa! A certified yoga instructor will provide one-
on-one instruction in yoga techniques that you can take home and incorporate into your daily
routine for better physical, spiritual and emotional health.
 Meso America Healing Experience - Our Native’s people treatment begins with a 4 Point
Dance and bad thoughts cleansing ceremony where your Shaman will ensure that your mind is
clean and your soul is married to nature. Following this ritual you make choose any massage
that you may wish to have, hot or cool stone, Swedish, Shiatsu. But it is not over, jump into our
thermal waters or come to our Jurassic park tree-top Yoga platforms and enjoy YOMED, Ailanto’s
own Yoga form.
 Nutritional Consultation - Our certified nutritionists or Physicians will work with you to
develop a holistic nutritional plan to improve your overall consumption of nutrients and digestive
health. You will also be provided with a meal plan for use during your retreat.
 Medical Consultation – Our Aesthetic and other specialists are ready to give you’re their advise
as to what you should be doing. We have Cosmetic Dentists, Cosmetic Surgeons,
Ophthalmologists, Homeopaths and other at your disposal. We have a fully staffed Urgent Care
Center as well as Surgical Center on site.
 Private Fitness Consultation - Our certified fitness trainer will work with you to create a
personalized fitness regimen just for you. This can include anything from Pilates and resistance
training to kickboxing.
 At Your Beck and Call Concierge is ready to assist you and book any reservations, arrange any
travelling, engage your Private Chauffer, Chef or whatever you desire. The service is free but
DON’T FORGET to tip them.
 Tipping Although not necessary, you may do so, all tips are shared by all employees because
