Yesterday in the Mexican Cartel Activity report an open media source identified 5 men
who were killed in cartel violence. One of the victims was identified as Carlos
Monterrosa Rodriguez age 54. A search in the ENFORCE database produced a possible
match of the subject’s name and age. The information is as a follows:
The Mexican media source El Sol De Tijuana claims that Monterrosa-Rodriguez was one
of three men killed at a Tijuana business at approximately 18:30 on Monday 10/28/2008.

He and the other three men were killed by shots fired from an AK-47 and AR-15 style
carbines.
Two North Texas men arrested last week while passing through Denton County with a
cache of guns may be involved in a larger ring smuggling weapons into Mexico,
