The original idea came from when Adam Brown had to

change for lunch at a poolside bar: “It was a defining
well and moment when I realised I didn’t actually want a swim
back, zip short, but a short you can swim in.

I have never understood why, just because men are on

a beach, they choose to wear shapeless, baggy shorts
with elasticated waistbands—especially when their
everyday trousers are tailored.

Fit has always been central to the clothes I love. A man

of any shape or size will, in my opinion, ultimately look
better if he is wearing something that is cut correctly
and fits him properly.”

Inspired by the traditional pattern of a man’s tailored

trouser, the aim was to create a short that actually
fitted well and was more flattering. Features include

We have five key styles of polo shirts across two fits—tailored and classic. They’re expertly crafted with their own individual personality for all summer occasions. DID YOU KNOW... In the 1920s, French tennis player Rene
Lacoste set out to design something better than the restrictive traditional attire of long-sleeved button-up shirts. The garment he created was a white, short-sleeved, loosely-knitted pique cotton shirt. The unstarched, flat collar

 Towelling
Terry towelling, or terry cloth, was first used by
English manufacturer Christy for their towels as the
long uncut loops are ultra-absorbent.
In the 1840s Henry Christy returned from his travels
with a sample of a looped pile fabric he found in
Istanbul. Then known as ‘Turkish towel’, this fabric
was recreated in their machines and grew into
what we know today as terry towelling. It has since
developed into a flexible fabric that is synonymous
with warm-weather wear with advocates from Sean
Connery to Pablo Picasso.
Its textured surface makes towelling ideal for soft

and smart, collared shapes; the unique finish gives

Pique cotton is a durable fabric that has been used in
clothing since the 18th Century.
Unlike flat knits such as jersey, pique has a
dimensional quality with a slightly textured finish that
gives it a micro-quilted effect. It’s a highly versatile
cotton that can be used in everything from sportswear
pieces and casual polos to formal shirts.
Though pique is more tightly woven than linen or
pima cotton, its breathable texture allows air to move
freely over the body for a smart summer solution. It
can be created in any weight, dependant on the type
of fibre used, but is most commonly found in a mid-
