{(b) at the end of every four years, and
{c) at the end of the term of office of that public officer,
and shall be submitted not later than six months of the occurrence of any of the
events specified in this subsection.”
A combined reading of Article 286(5) of the Constitution and the first schedule to
Act 550 clearly stipulates the public office holders who are enjoined to make a
declaration of their assets and liabilities.
In furtherance of our constitutional right to information enshrined in Article 21(f)
of the Constitution of the Republic of Ghana and affirmed in the case of Lolan
Ekow Sagoe-Moses and 6 Others vrs The Honorable Minister of Transport
and Attorney-General, Suit No. HR/OO27/2015 (otherwise popularly referred
to as the Bus Branding Case), we hereby humbly request that you furnish us
with the full contents and details of all written declarations of assets and
liabilities provided to your office by all public office holders (as identified in
Article 286 (5) of the Constitution and the first schedule to Act 550) who have
held office from 7 January 1993 till present.
We stand ready to contribute to the reasonable costs (as evidenced by official
invoices and receipts) related to the provision of the information we have
requested herein,
