a positive working environment and reduce stress. It also can reduce absenteeism

when employees fit to come to work. They will have a perfect attendance with no

medical leave.

By organizing a talk session about safety and health in workplace can increase

b) There are three common forms of interviews which are panel interview, face to

face interview and phone interview.

Panel interview involve a number of people sitting as a panel with one as

chairperson. It is popular in public sector. Through panel interview, the decision

can be made carefully. They will give their comments and make the decision with

careful consideration. Every panel can give their comments and can choose the

best candidate that suite for the position. For candidates, they will feel more

nervous because need to face a number of panels. Many eye looking and judging

them. Apart from that, panel also can have different opinions. It is difficult for them

to agree with the decision. It might be have some argument. Some may like and

some may dislike the candidate. The panel also may give a hard time to

candidates with their questions. Candidates need to be more prepared and study

about the position.

Face to face interview can be meeting between you and one of the

interviewers. By doing face to face interview, the interviewer can see the body

language starting from entering the interview room. They will have first impression

on the candidates. Candidates can clarify the questions and have a clear picture

of the job. Interviewer can read nonverbal cues about candidate’s impression and

can know about the person without asking more. The disadvantage face to face

interview is geographical limitation. It might be a problem to candidates to

attendant interview session. They maybe have to take leave. Interviewer needs to

be trained in order to make the decision for the best candidates. It also can

introduce interviewer bias. They may have the favorite candidate.

Telephone interview is easier. It not required so much preparation. By

conducting telephone interview, it is less costly and speedier. Candidates do not

have to present. They can do the interview session in their office or at home. In

contrast, nonverbal cues cannot be read if using telephone interview. Interviewer

cannot read the body language and difficult to choose who are the best

candidates that can fit with the position. Interview will have to be kept short. It is

because interviewer maybe can only ask question based on prepared question.

They cannot ask additional question because they do not have clear picture about

the candidates. Candidates can terminate the interview session at any time due to

line problems.

The best approach is panel interview. It is because the decision will be

made with careful consideration. The candidate also may be prepared and

trained. They can be motivated and confidence in deal with many people. This

type of interview required them to use their critical thinking on how to answer

unexpected question.
