Description
Karnataka Community Based Tank Management System is a project Implemented
by Government of Karnataka with the assistance from the World Bank. The
objective is to improve rural livelihoods and reduce poverty. We were Involved in
Building a Data warehouse which deals with different aspects of Tank Management.
This large scale Data warehouse consisted of several Data marts (viz. Engineering,
Agriculture, Social & Institutional) integrated in the Data warehouse. The main
process of our team was to Extract Transform & populate the various Data marts.
The Data Warehouse is structured for rapid online queries, summaries and
contains both summary and detail. The system developed, was used to generate
reports used to monitor the M I Department for Tank works
Responsibilities:
 Used most of the transformations such as Source qualifier, Lookup, Update
Strategy, Aggregator, Filter, Router and Sequence Generator for framing the
Business logic in the mappings.
 Developed the mappings to load the data in slowly changing dimensions
 Worked on Informatica Source Analyzer, Warehouse Designer, Mapping designer.
Developed Mappings and sessions.

Project Description:

Project involves creating a Data Warehouse for sales reporting System. The main
process of our team is to extract, transform and load into the data Warehouse using
Informatica. Project intends to support the Business Objects Applications that are
in Production, Administration and BO activities .

Responsibilities:

* Designing the ETL Processes (using Informatica Tool) to load data from MS - SQL
Server, MS Access and Oracle into target Oracle 9i database.
* Developing mappings/sessions using Informatica Power Center for data
loading.Developed mapping to load the data in slowly changing dimension.
* Created Various Transformations like Joiner, Aggregate, Expression, Filter,Update
strategy
