Course Title: MONOCHROMATIC DRAWING
Course Description: The study of visualization and graphic presentation in the form of freehand
drawings including still-life and architectural forms and entourage using
different media, in black and white/monochrome.
Credit Unit: Two(2) units: lab – 2 units

COURSE POLICIES AND STANDARDS

The following policies are to be observed and implemented inside the classroom by both the instructor and the students.

Attendance
The student is required to attend the class on-time and according to schedule. The following guidelines explain the implementation of this policy.

 A student is present when he is physically inside the room.


 A student is late if he/she enters the room with an ongoing discussion, thus, his/her points for attendance will be lower than those who are on-time.
 A student is absent if he failed to show him/herself for the whole duration of the class or if he/she entered late in the class with an excessive amount of time.
 A student will be excused if he/she has a valid reason supported by appropriate documents regarding his/her absentee.

Participation
The student can participate during recitations or answer questions. By doing so, gives him/her added points for his/her grades.

Assignments/Laboratories/Case Studies
Any work allowed by the Instructor to be done by the student either solo or by group. The following guidelines cover the scope of this factor.

 All activities given are related to the on-going lesson.


 All activities must be submitted on time.
 Penalty shall be applied for late submission. For assignment, if it is turned in more than 24 hours late will receive the score of zero (0).
 For laboratories and other activities, it will be penalized per day when late submitted.
 For case studies, the student can only submit it on the established deadline.
 But in case the student notifies the instructor ahead of time showing some valid reasons for not being able to submit the assignment on time. The student must present valid official
documents to defend his/her case.

 Copying others work, plagiarizing external references without giving due credit, and cheating in exams are strictly forbidden.
 Submission of COPIED laboratory exercise, case studies and laboratory exams will be graded as zero (0).

Exams
This program has two major exams, Midterm and Finals. The following guideline explains the scope of this factor

 All students must take the exam on the scheduled date.


 If a student thinks that he/she can't take the exam on the scheduled date due to some unavoidable circumstances, such as out of town business trip, sickness, etc., then he/she must
notify the instructor before the scheduled exam time. In that case the instructor may give a makeup exam to the student. However, the student must present valid official documents to
defend his/her case.
 During examination times no talking and passing papers or other items among the students will be allowed. The instructor will give an overall grade of F (Fail) to a student if that student
is caught with any kind of cheating.

Behavior inside the Class

 Students shall wear their proper uniform inside the classroom. This includes wearing of the school uniform, ID, and removing earrings.
 Students shall avoid unnecessary engagement in an unnecessary discussion inside the class.
 Refrain from using your gadgets during class unless permitted by the Instructor or if it will help the student develop their learning process inside the class.
 Avoid playing games inside the room unless that is your project. All students caught playing games shall be given disciplinary actions as the instructor sees fit.
 The student shall not commit academic misconduct at all times. Doing so may enable the instructor to issue necessary disciplinary actions.
 No food or drink allowed inside the computer lab.
 Laboratory must be kept neat and each student is responsible for ensuring that the equipment on his/her workbench is neatly arranged, that all other equipment are put away, and that
there are no scraps of paper or other garbage left on or near his/her work station.

Major Plates

Students must submit major plates on scheduled time, neat and complete. Consideration for late submission will be entertained if the student has valid reason.
