Eligibility
The AMU law entrance exam eligibility criteria for BA LLB and LLM courses
offered at Aligarh Muslim University is mentioned below:

AMU Law Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria for BA LLB Course

In order to meet the AMU law entrance exam 2017 eligibility criteria for BA LLB
course aspirants need to fulfill either of the criteria mentioned below:

• Aspirants should possess Class XII certificate with minimum 50% aggregate
marks.

OR

• Aspirants should have passed a bridge course from Aligarh Muslim University
with minimum 50% aggregate marks. It may be noted that this criteria is
applicable only for graduates of Deeni Madaris.

Age criteria: Besides fulfilling the aforementioned AMU eligibility criteria,

candidates should also be less than 22 years in age as on July 1 of the admission
year.

AMU Law Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria for LLM Course

All aspirants who possess a graduation degree in LLB/ BA LLB course offered at
Aligarh Muslim University or any other recognised university with at least 55%
aggregate marks meet the AMU law entrance exam 2017 eligibility criteria for
LLM course admissions.

Process

Step 1: Fill AMU Law Entrance Exam Application Form

For AMU law entrance exam 2017 registrations aspirants need to apply in the
online mode only. Candidates need to fill the AMU law entrance exam 2017
application form on the official website of the university.

After filling the AMU application form, aspirants can submit it either in the online
mode or take a print out of it (in the PDF form) to post it at the below-mentioned

AMU application fee can be paid either through demand draft (DD) (drawn in
favour of Finance Officer, AMU, payable at Aligarh) or bank challan.

Step 2: Download AMU Law Entrance Exam Admit Card

After successfully submitting the application form, aspirants need to download

the AMU law entrance exam 2017 admit card from the official website of the
university.

AMU law entrance exam admit card is a mandatory document to be carried to

the test centre. The admit card contains aspirant’s details (name and roll number)
and test details (date, time, and AMU law entrance exam centre location).

Step 3: Appear for AMU Law Entrance Exam

Next, aspirants need to appear for AMU law entrance exam 2017 at the allotted
test centre. AMU law entrance exam 2017 will be of two hours duration and will
contain a total of 85 questions (objective and subjective).

Step 4: Check AMU Law Entrance Exam Result

Once the written test is conducted, Aligarh Muslim University will declare AMU
law entrance exam 2017 result on its official website.

AMU law entrance exam result will contain the names of aspirants shortlisted for
Aligarh Muslim University admissions 2017 in BA LLB and LLM courses offered by
it.

Step 5: Attend AMU Law Entrance Exam Counselling

All shortlisted aspirants then have to attend AMU law entrance exam 2017
counselling conducted by the varsity. In the AMU counselling session, aspirants
will be allotted seats according to their AMU law entrance exam ranks.

Note: Aspirants applying for LLM course do not need to attend AMU law
entrance exam counselling session. Aligarh Muslim University admissions of such
aspirants will be done directly after the declaration of AMU law entrance exam
2017 result.

Pattern

The AMU law entrance exam pattern is different for BA LLB and LLM course
admissions.

AMU Law Entrance Exam Pattern for BA LLB Course

AMU law entrance exam 2017 test pattern for BA LLB course is such that the
question paper will contain 75 objective-type questions and 10 subjective-type
short questions. Aspirants need to complete the exam in two hours duration. 

Questions in the exam will be based on subjects such as General English, Current
Affairs, General Knowledge, as well as Reasoning and Aptitude.

AMU Law Entrance Exam Pattern for LLM Course

AMU law entrance exam 2017 pattern for LLM course is such that the question
paper will contain 20 short answer-type questions of 100 marks that aspirants
need to complete in a duration of two hours. It may be noted that all questions in
the exam will be of LLB/ BA LLB standard, informs the official website.
