1.2 Course Description
A further understanding or measurement of building works with reference to

Malaysian Standard Method of Measurement of Building Works (SMM), for
demolition and alteration works, underpinning and external works.
This course is also designed to provide the students with a thorough

understanding of the theory and analysis of prices for the measured items.
1.3 Syllabus Content
Section A: Measurement of Building Works
1. Measurement of demolition and alteration works and underpinning.
2. Measurement of external works such as fencing and gates, turfing, road,

pavement, surface water drainage, soil drainage and water reticulation
works.
Section B: Analysis of Prices
1. Analysis of prices for the various works covered in Section A.
