Unit rate analysis
1. The index shall not be beyond 25% as the CSA inflation and labor index never
released to be above 25%. What is indicated in the labor analysis as 60% is not
accepted!!!!
2. The labor rate shall be the monthly salary divide by 30 days and not 26 days.
Other costs are covered somewhere!!!!
3. The output rates are
4. The profit margin for Contractor class 1 is 25% and not 35%. Other costs as
overhead are 10%. This shall be corrected
5. The original preforma shall be attached from the firms you stated, Geosynthetic,
Belt, etc. with appropriate stamps and due dates.
6. All doors and sheet metal thicknesses are correctly stated as 1mm. but the tiles
and details in the BoQ are stated as 1.25mm. Not acceptable. All sheet metals
shall be 1mm as per the original contract.
7. The table for labor hourly output and equipments are highly reduced to
exaggerate the unit rate. Please provide a separate table for the same.
8. You shall maintain sizes of all doors of appropriate sizes and cost as indicated
in the original contract for public toilet and buildings.
9. All reservoir chemical paints shall be omitted no further work is to be approved.

Bill No 07: Reservoirs

1. The reservoirs are perfectly casted and so the client shall require additional water
proofing material

It is the contractor responsibility if the quality is checked and found leakage to correct
it with water proofing material

So delete
”Provide and apply two coats of water proofing chemical over the
plastered surface of internal walls inclusive top surface of top slab” in all
reservoirs

Valve chambers:
What wall material is proposed for such high cost of building a valve chamber to all
reservoirs?

So correct and include the wall material type approved

“Construction of 2000x2800x2000 outlet valve chambers with
concrete manhole cover 600x600x10”

Drainage ditch

Stone masonry canal of hard basalt or equivalent impermeable, non-weathered and

non-fractured stone bedded and joined in 1:3 cement mortar For SDB. Why here
1500birr/m3 not stating the thickness and associated works?

What is the difference?

The is exaggerated so to compensate the mortar shall be 1:2 ratio

Why is the door 1.25mm? It has no special benefit, in fact the more heavier the fastest to be
non-functional. It is unusual to make the sheet metal such thickness …to be changed. The
cost is twice exaggerated!!!!!! How about the original sizes where correctly to be
maintained?? Say 1x2.1m2, 0.9x2.1m2
So: Delete the thickness as 1.25mm and replace with the original thickness 1mm
Also maintain the original sizes and cost of all doors with sizes 2.1 height but give
additional costs for the 50cm panel section only!!!!!
Who gave the order to change the thickness of the door sheet metal?

How about the depth and thickness of the overload soil against the thickness of the
pipe proposed HDPE for the wastewater. At some point the depth might be above
1500mm or so.
