Volunteer work
Belize (Spring 2016 & 2018)
In the Spring of 2016 and 2018 I traveled with other students to Belize where we volunteered our time in the classrooms at one of the church’s
schools. I went once for one week and once for two weeks. We collected around 1,000 lbs. of books to deliver to the school’s library and
classrooms. We also painted the Library and decorated to make it a welcoming place for kids. I also had a chance to teach in the classroom and
work with the kids and teachers in what we would call either kindergarten or first grade.
