Let me tell you my own experience when I was starting

to learn English Some times I was able to understand
find and some other times not
Why?
People from different parts of the world speak
different, even if they only speak English

For that reason I suggest you this:

Focus to understand English from a specific area,

USA-California, USA-Texas, Australia-Queensland,
Australia-Victoria, UK-Scotland, UK-Cornwall, etc.

Once you feel comfortable, speak with people form other

places

16. Study before sleeping.

This worked out very well for me

Just before sleeping read or listen something in
English and keep thinking about it

Remember if you find something of your passions, needs

or interests you will be improving twice

17. Ask for help at myspace, facebook, hi5, etc.

Yes if you are in one social network, like myspace,
facebook, twitter, etc.
Start to make friends from an English speaking country
and ask them for some help to correct your English
phrases, sometimes they are not going to understand
you, just keep trying

Other times the helper won't help, in that case look

for other friend, you just have to keep trying until
find a good helper and don't abuse with too many
questions
Try native English speakers for this, otherwise it
won't be so helpful and look for people above 40 years
old, they will help better
