Blockchain Connect Conference / UC Berkeley/Academic collaborations

• Dr. Chengnian Long (CPChain founder, CEO) and Mr. Qingwei Shi
(CPChain COO) participated in the Blockchain Connect
Conference in San Francisco on January 26, 2018.

• Team has extensively exchanged the development trend of

blockchain technology with attendees, especially introduced
CPChain's technical features and operating conditions.

• On January 29, Dr. Chengnian Long, Mr. Qingwei Shi and HPB
team visited the Berkeley Blockchain Laboratory at University
of California, Berkeley.

• They have conducted extensive exchanges with Dr. Steven

Chen, head of the Berkeley Blockchain Laboratory, on the
training of the personnel of the blockchain and the
establishment of joint laboratories, and reached a preliminary
cooperation intention.

Blockchain Connect Conference / UC Berkeley/Academic collaborations

• On January 30, Dr. Chengnian Long paid a special visit to Dr. Jan
Liphardt, director of Liphardt Laboratory, Stanford University. They
conducted an in-depth discussion on CPChain's technical features,
cooperative research and development in the field of medical IoT
and the establishment of overseas research teams.

• During the visit to the USA, Dr. Chengnian Long has a video
meeting with Dr. Wei Tang and Dr. Chonggang Wang respectively.
Dr. Wei Tang is the database technology leader of Splice Machine
(big data company). Dr. Chonggang Wang is a research scientist in
InterDigital Communications (wireless and IOT technology company).
He is a top Internet of Things expert, IEEE Fellow, Founding
Editor-in-chief of IEEE Internet of Things. They carried out in-
depth discussion on the big data and Internet of Things R & D.

Bo Li, IEEE Fellow
• Chair Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Hong Kong University of
Science and Technology.
• He has been a chief technical advisor for ChinaCache Corp. (NASDAQ CCIH) since 2010. He
was a co-founder for two startup companies, securing over USD 35M VC investment. He
made pioneering contributions in large-scale Peer-to-Peer live video streaming; specifically,
the system, Coolstreaming (2004-2005) was credited as the first large-scale Peer-to-Peer live
video streaming system in the world.
 Software Engineer
Shiyao Ma
• Shiyao Ma received his B.Eng. degree from the Computer Science Department (with honor),
Tsinghua University, Beijing, in 2013.
• He is actively engaged in open-source software development. He is experienced in software-
defined network, Hadoop and Spark data-parallel frameworks. He was a two-time
participant of Google summer of code. He builds software based on OSS, and contributes back
to the community.
