1.1 Features
SDN-DPH DISPLAY PANEL allows to display the end of cycle data and preset the fastening operation of
the SDNR NUTRUNNER.
The DISPLAY PANEL has the following features.

1) It is also available for using as the Programmable Operation Panel to be connected with PLC.
Before, both the DISPLAY PANEL for NUTRUNNER and the Operation Panel for PLC are necessary.
SDN-DPH DISPLAY PANEL can take charge of them for one.
SDN-DPH is compatible with V8 series of Hakko Electronics co., Ltd.
Please ask us for the V-SFT5 version corresponds to SDNR NUTRUNNER.
(The V-SFT5 on the market at May 2012 is not corresponded.)

2) The End of Cycle Data can be displayed in a SINGLE mode or an ALL mode.

3) Fastening setting of the NUTRUNNER can be performed.

4) Torque Curve can be displayed.

5) The history of the rejected cycles (NG cycles), which occurred while the DISPLAY PANEL was connected,
can be displayed. They can be saved in the CF card or USB flash drive by CSV format.

6) The history of the fastening data can be displayed.

7) It can be installed near the operator. The mounting position can be remote from NUTRUNNER controllers
and drivers.

8) A battery is unnecessary because a FLASH memory is being used for the fastening setting backup
memory.

9) The fastening setting can be saved in the USB flash drive. The fastening setting can transfer between the
backup memory and the USB flash drive.
The format of the setting file is compatible with the SDN-UITW USER INTERFACE TERMINAL, so mutual
setting file can be used.

10) It is provided with maintenance functions for torque and angle.

1-2
DISPLAY PANEL MANUAL

11) Setting and enabling a password protects the settings from unauthorized manipulation.

12) When the Data Display mode is selected, a key lock function may be used to prohibit selecting any other
mode of operation.

13) A high performance CPU and LSI results in high speed display updates.

14) Display language is selectable Japanese or English.

15) Connected NUTRUNNER Type S or M is selectable.

16) It is provided with maintenance functions for I/O interfaces of NUTRUNNER controllers and drivers.

17) Fastening data received from NUTRUNNER (Maximum 6 items x 32spindles or 12 items x 16 spindles)
can forward to the PLC.

Data of the previous fastening operations are stored in the memory of the Multi-Controller. The Display Panel
reads them from the Multi-Controller and displays them. Total judge, selected number of the program and
parameter, cycle time of the Multi-Controller and judge, fastening data 1-4 depended on the OUTPUT ITEM

●How to calculate the number of the memory data

Data of the previous fastening operations are stored in the memory of the Multi-Controller. The maximum
number of the memory data changes by the number of the connected DRIVER.
The maximum number of the memory unit is 16382 units. An equation is as below.

n = 16382/(1+m) n : Maximum number of memory data

m : Number of the connected DRIVER

NOTE
Data of the previous fastening operations are stored in the Multi-Controller.
Display items are 4 items(+judge) selected by the DATA OUTPUT setting in the SYSTEM setting

CAUT ION
Fastening data are stored as a BCD or BIN form in the memory of the Multi-Controller when the
fastening operation is completed. If the SYSTEM settings such as a torque unit, driver’s model and
so on are changed, the data are not consistent between before and after.
The data of the FASTENING REPORT are memorized along with the setting of the Out Data
Format in the COMMON SETTING. If the setting of the Out Data Format was changed, previous
data are different with the actual data.

SCREEN of V8 system. Refer to the ‘Hardware Specifications V806’ ‘Hardware Specifications V8’ for the
MAIN SCREEN.

16.2.1 Device Connection Setting(V-SFT)

Device Connection Setting shall be set by the editor (V-SFT) to connect with PLC or other device except
for NUTRUNNER
Connecting port, communication setting, etc. are set in the Device Connection Setting.
PLC1 is reserved for the NUTRUNNER (ARCNET : SANYO MACHINE WORKS). Do not change this
setting.

●Device Connection Setting

1) Click [System Setting] and [Device Connection Setting] to indicate the window for Device
Connection Setting.

16.2.2 Read / Write Area(V-SFT)

You must reserve Read / Write Area when you design the screen data.
These area are occupied by NUTRUNNER. Do not change setting in this unit.
If you want to use Read / Write Area, access them indirectly by using the Device Memory Map.
Setting example of indirect access by using the Device Memory Map is shown in the next page.

ITEM CONTENTS
Read Area Setting Value : I/O memory-IO1-080 Reserved memory : IO1-080 to 082
The read area is the area where the connecting device gives commands for display
or operation to the Touch Panel.
At least 3 words of consecutive memory addresses are secured.
Write Area Setting Value : I/O memory-IO1-083 Reserved memory : IO1-083 to 085
This is the area where data is written from [Read Area], such as the displayed screen
number, overlap display status, buzzer sounding status, etc. 3 words of consecutive
memory addresses are secured.

Sample setting of Device Memory Map to access I/O memory of Read/Write area of the PLC is shown
as below.
PLC : Mitsubishi Q series
Read Area source memory : D00000 - D00002
Read Area transfer timing : Synchronized writing : The data at the source memory address is
transferred to a memory address registered in a device memory map at the
leading edge of the control memory bit (0 to 1). D00100-01 of Control
Memory is target bit in example.
Write Area target memory : D00003 - D00005
Write Area transfer timing : Periodical reading : The memory data registered in a device memory map
is transferred to the target memory address every cycle set at [Reading
Cycle]. Reading cycle is 0.5 sec in example.
