The purpose of the trip is to enhance student achievement and provide experiences in our world outside of
school. The time away from campus has been carefully planned to maximize the effectiveness of the trip.
Students will learn about:
● the MUSC Urban garden space and use
● how the garden benefits the community
● making choices that will benefit their health into adulthood

Expectations for student behavior on the field trip are the same as for the classroom and school. The school
reserves the right to exclude students from field trips based on behavior. If your child cannot participate,
alternative educational activities will be provided at school during the field trip.

Student transportation is provided through School Wheels Direct.

As always, please wear your Meeting Street Elementary @Brentwood uniform, socks, and sneakers. Please
pack a light jacket in case it is cool.
