Financial Support Statement
The United States Immigration Service requires all students
applying for an F-1 Student Visa to show proof of funds for
the cost of their studies and stay in the U.S.
A bank statement or letter from the bank is acceptable. You
will need an original bank statement when you visit the US
Embassy to request your visa.
The bank statement/document must include the name of the
person who has the account, and the name of the bank. The
amount of support must meet or surpass the full cost of our
program. Included in the total expenses are all program fees,
books, housing, meals, insurance and personal expenses
needed for daily life. For costs of the HELP program, please

government to have the necessary funds for the HELP
program at SUNY New Paltz. I have the required funds
available. I am attaching bank statement(s) issued in the
past three months. I understand that SUNY New Paltz does
not offer financial aid or work, to pay these costs.

MUST be completed by sponsor.
This is certify that I have agreed to provide the funds
indicated to the applicant for the purpose of full-time study
in the Haggerty English Language Program at the State
University of New York New Paltz and that I am submitting
bank statements indicating the availability of these funds.
If the student has more than one sponsor, please provide
the names, signatures and relationship information on a
separate page.
