We are grateful to those who give of their time and
care to bring Holy Communion to our parishioners
who cannot make it to church due to sickness or in-
firmity. If you know of anyone who would like to re-
ceive communion in their home or while hospitalized
at West Lincoln Hospital, please contact the parish
office.
SVDP Society
MISSION - The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a
lay Catholic organization whose mission is: To live

Together for Peace
For this year’s Share Lent, Development and Peace
is encouraging us to come together for peace. Dur-
ing this first week, our search for peace takes us to
Cambodia to meet ICSO, a Development and Peace
partner that works with minority Indigenous commu-
nities to help them have their rights recognized by
the government, defend their land against corporate
interests, and develop sustainable economic activi-
ties that enable them to live with dignity. To watch

provided to make a donation on Solidarity Sunday,
which will take place on March 18.

The movie “Passengers”
opens in outer space with
the starship Avalon on auto-
pilot heading to a new colo-
ny world. On board the
mammoth ship are 5,000
passengers who are all in hi-
bernation pods for the 120-
year journey. They are part of a mass exodus of
Earth’s population.
This exodus reminds us of Noah and the giant
wooden ark filled with all God’s creatures. When
the rains pelted down, the ark lifted on the rising wa-
ters, simply floating free. Meanwhile, the "Great
Flood" engulfed the world and washed it away. It
was a new beginning.
God’s promise to Noah links us to that dramatic
event. Despite our concerns about rising sea levels
and global warming, there will never be a "Great

40 Days for Life
Be part of this peaceful,
international campaign to
end abortion, by praying
and fasting during Lent,
February 14-March 25.
Each church is adopting one day from 8 am–8 pm,
for two or more people to give public witness for one
or two hours, standing on Portage Street at the Niag-
ara Falls General Hospital, holding a sign “Pray to
End Abortion – 40 Days for Life.”
St. Helen's day is Saturday, March 3. You can in-
dicate the hour/s you will witness on the sign-up
sheet on the table at the entrance.

Reconciliation/Adoration
On Saturday, March 17 in every
parish church across the dio-
cese, a priest will be available
from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. to
celebrate Reconciliation individ-
ually. There will also be Eucha-
ristic Adoration during this time. No matter how long
it has been, you are welcome to celebrate the Sacra-
ment of Penance, which assists us in spiritual disci-
pline as we turn away from sin and open our hearts
to reconciliation and healing -- or you can also simp-
ly come to pray before the Lord.
