On the Sidewalk Bleeding

For this assignment you will write your own newspaper report about the death of Andy.

Your newspaper article must have the following features:

- Masthead
- Dateline
- Headline
- Placeline
- byline
- photo
- caption (describing photo)
- photo-byline
- must be in columns
- must have at least one full page

In your written work, please include the following essential news article features:

- lead and hook

- introduction
- short concise paragraphs
- indented paragraphs
- quotations (from interviews with witnesses!)
- conclusion

Please remember that you are a news reporter – you were NOT there for the murder, so
you must interview witnesses and you cannot write about how Andy was feeling
(because he is not alive to ask!).
