PREFACE

The writer would like to acknowledge my countless thanks to the Most Gracious and the
Most Merciful, Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa who always give me all the best of this life and
there is no doubt about it. This report is presented to fulfill one of the requirements in
accomplishing the English Lesson I in Polythenic of Health Denpasar specially Nursing
Departement.

The writer would like to take my opportunity to express my deep and sincere gratitude to the
following:

1. Mrs. Yuni SC as head of nursing departement who give permission to me and my friend
for practice at Kuta Beach.
2. Mr. Ns I Wayan Suardana, S.Kep, M.Kep as person in charge of the course of English
Lesson I of DIII polythenic of Health Denpasar ho has given suggestion and critics to the
report. It will be hard for the writer to make the report becomes perfect without his
contributions.
3. Mr July and Mr Ram, Mrs Harini as member of teaching team who give knowledge and
help me make this report perfect.
4. Mr Gama and tim as people in charge of the course of Beach Community because it can"t
finish without practice Beach Community in Kuta Beach.

 BACKGROUND

Nursing is the protection, promotion, and optimization of health and abilities, prevention of illness and
injury, alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response, and advocacy in
the care of individuals, families, communities, and populations (ANA,2014).

As a nurse, you will work for the holistic wellbeing of individuals, their families and other
groups.Promoting and maintaining good health as well as preventing and treating illnesses will
be your main interests. A nurse's expertise is based on scientific evidence.

Possessing theoretical knowledge and practical skills enables nurses to advise and support the
individuals and their significant others among other things. A nurse's ability to develop his or her
work also plays a key role. Good interaction skills and communication skills are also required in
nursing.

Nurse education contains several work placements, where the students work with their future
colleagues in various health care settings, developing their own professional skills and the
nursing profession

1. English may not be the most spoken language in the world, but it is the official language
in a large number of countries. It is estimated that the number of people in the world that
use in English to communicate on a regular basis is 2 billion!
2. English is the dominant business language and it has become almost a necessity for
people to speak English if they are to enter a global workforce, research from all over the
world shows that cross-border business communication is most often conducted in
English. Its importance in the global market place therefore cannot be understated,
learning English really can change your life.
3. girls learning English in class3. Many of the world’s top films, books and music are
published and produced in English. Therefore by learning English you will have access to
a great wealth of entertainment and will be able to have a greater cultural understanding.
4. Most of the content produced on the internet (50%) is in English. So knowing English
will allow you access to an incredible amount of information which may not be otherwise
available.
5. Although learning English can be challenging and time consuming, we can see that it is
also very valuable to learn and can create many opportunities.
6. Eastbourne school of English is a not-for-profit school, this means that all our profits are
re-invested in the school, our purpose is to provide the highest possible quality in English
language teaching.
