Personally came Michael S Merritt, who makes oath before a Magistrate of this Court that Lalonie Vanessa Troup (hereinafter
called the accused) did, between Nov 30, 2017 10:00 PM to Dec 01, 2017 3:50 AM at 1385 Sandtown Green, Marietta, County
of Cobb, GA 30060 commit the offense of RECKLESS CONDUCT(M) violating O.C.G.A, Section 16-5-60, said accused did
endanger the bodily safety of another person: Zion Kingston, by consciously disregarding a substantial and unjustifiable risk that
her act or omission would endanger the safety of said person and such disregard constituted a gross deviation from the
standard of care which a reasonable person would have exercised in the situation, to wit: Said accused did give birth to Zion
Kingston on July 21, 2017. Said accused and the child showed positive presence of opiates. On July 22, 2017 a Georgia
Department of Family and Children’s Services Case Manager briefed said accused on SafeSleep , to include specific instructions
on the proper safe sleeping position, specifically with the child on his back. On August 7, 2017 during a newborn checkup for
Zion Kingston, said accused was briefed and given instructions on proper sleep positions evidenced in the medical chart, “Infant
on back and in own bassinet or crib.” Medical documents confirmed the question was posed “Baby sleeps on back,” to which
said accused answered, “Yes.” Said accused was provided with a Bright Futures parental handout that instructed, “Put your baby
to sleep on his or her back. In a crib, in your room, not in your bed.” On November 17, 2017 said accused was arrested and

charged for offenses to include possession of heroin . The child was taken into protective custody. On November 20, 2017
Juvenile Court granted custody to Kim Troup, mother of said accused. The Court gave instructions, “That at no time will the child
be left alone with the mother until further order of this Court.” On December 1, 2017 at about 0350 Marietta Police investigated
the death of Zion Kingston, who was found by said accused. Said accused provided a statement to include that she took the
child out of his upstairs crib, brought him downstairs to her private bedroom and outside the presence and supervision of Kim
Troup, fed the child a bottle, and placed the child on an adult bed, face down on soft bedding; between Nov 30, 2017 10:00 PM
to Dec 01, 2017 3:50 AM at 1385 Sandtown Green, Marietta, County of Cobb, GA 30060 commit the offense of
MANSLAUGHTER, INVOLUNTARY FELONY(F) violating O.C.G.A, Section 16-5-3(a), said accused did while in the
commission of an unlawful act: Reckless Conduct, which was a misdemeanor, cause the death of Zion Kingston, a human
being, without any intention to do so, to wit: Said accused did violate the Order of Cobb County Juvenile Court by having an
unsupervised visit with her infant child, Zion Kingston. On at least two prior occasions, said accused was briefed both verbally
and in writing about safe vs dangerous sleeping positions for her infant. Those briefings came from both the Department of
Family and Children’s Services and medical professionals working in the field of pediatrics . While violating the Order set by
Juvenile Court, said accused did retrieve Zion Kingston from his upstairs crib, taking him out of the supervision of custodian Kim
Troup, then did bring the child downstairs to the master bedroom where the child was fed and put down to sleep face down on
an adult bed with soft bedding. The child Zion Kingston died;
and affiant makes this affidavit that a warrant may issue for the arrest of the accused .
