Lady bulldog basketball lose 2 of 3 games

The Bulldog ladies bas-
ketball team need look no fur-
ther than the free throw line to
understand a disappointing 68-
61 loss to visiting Milaca
Thursday.
They missed lots of free
throws. And Milaca made lots
of them, energizing themselves
to a come-from-behind victory.
The Bulldog defense was
stiff in the early going, and
combined with opportune
scoring by Julia Bengtson and
Courtney Nuest, built an 11-2
lead just into the game.
Lindquist scored a two-pointer
with seven minutes remaining,
giving Becker a 23-11 lead.
But the Wolves found
their pace, getting back into
the game and trailing 30-27 at
the half.
The Becker lead became
43-32, then Milaca went back
to work, turning Becker over,
driving the ball, shooting
threes and free throws, finally
tying things at 54 with 2:35 to
go.

Eagles hockey team end season with mixed results

The Eagles concluded their regular
season on the road with one win and one
loss, ending their season at 10-15, their best
season record since the 2013-2014 season
when they were 13-11. The beat Bagley
