THE TOWER OF LODIN

(BUILDING INSTRUCTIONS)
You will need:
6 Sheets of standard card stock
 X-acto knife
 Cutting surface
 White glue

Instructions:
1. Print out pages 2-7 of this document on standard card
stock. Using the x-acto knife carefully cut out all of the
tower pieces. Be sure to remove all of the white
squares from the parapet (page 4), the archway and
window from page 2, and the spaces between the bars of
the window on page 3.
2. Fold down the sides of the tower and its tabs. Sharp creases
will be necessary for all of the folding in this project. A scoring
tool can be used if desired. Attach the two sides to one another
forming a square tube.
3. Fold and assemble the parapet by gluing the tabs inside the parapet’s walls. Attach it to the top of
the tower. It is recommended that you allow the glue to dry before proceeding to the successive
steps. Clear tape may be used to give added strength to the construction if you so desire.
4. Fold and construct the two smaller ramps by gluing their small tabs inside the larger triangle
shaped tabs.
5. Apply glue to the outside of the tabs on the “webs” ramp and affix it inside the tower tube against
the back wall of the tower approximately ½” down from the parapet at the top of the tower. The
ramp should be visible from the opening in the parapet. See the Ramp Placement Diagram for
details. The artwork on the ramps should be able to be seen through the windows of the tower.
6. Attach the “bones” ramp the same way you did the
previous ramp. This ramp is glued inside the tower
tube about midway down from the top. The back of
the ramp should be affixed to the inside front of the
tower. This allows the bones to be seen from the
barred window in the back of the tower.
7. To assemble the large “stairs” ramp, form the wedge
as you did with the previous ramps. Fold the bottom
tabs and the base of the ramp upward. This final
ramp is glued at the very bottom of the tower tube
with the ramp angled toward the archway. The small
tabs are then glued inside in order to strengthen the
doorway.
8. Now, fold and construct the courtyard like you did the
parapet, tabs glued inside the low walls.
9. Glue the courtyard’s tab to the inside back of the
tower. Apply glue to the flat base of the bottom ramp
and the sides of the courtyard’s wall that will touch
the sides of the tower. Hinge the courtyard into
position and allow the glue to dry.
10. Your dice tower is now complete. Enjoy.
