There are three common phrasal verb
constructions

Verb + Preposition: Prepositional Phrasal Verbs


I ran into an old friend last night.

Verb + Particle: Particle Phrasal Verbs


We always hung out at Foreman‘s house after school.

Verb + Particle + Preposition: Particle-Prepositional Phrasal

Phrasal Verbs often have very different


meanings than the words that make them
up.

Example:
Bring Up: to raise a child or
animal from a young age or to
mention something
