Dear Sir,
I am writing to apply for the position of Logging Geologist-Surface Data Logging-
II, as advertised on https://jobs.halliburton.com/key/halliburton-pakistan.html dated
14th September, 2017. I have completed Bs (Applied Geology) Hon from University
of Sargodha, Pakistan. Within two year, I have developed strong interpretations and
data entry skills that have enabled me to evaluate and monitor all drilling Activities
being carried out by E&P Companies.
Currently, I am working at Halliburton Islamabad Yard, Pakistan as internee
Geologist in Surface Data Logging department of Sperry Drilling Services. My Major
responsibility is to communicate with Logging Geologist and provide SDL equipment
at drill site and also follow Halliburton 10 Life Rules during performing any job with
tools. I also kept in mind Critical Focus Area whenever visited at Rig site. I also
follow 5S (Sorting, Set in order, shine, standard and sustain) while working in SDL
Lab. I have command on Gas system and sensors calibration.
I have gained first-hand experience in Oil and Gas Development Company
Limited (OGDCL) as Intern Geologist for more than three Months. During the tenure
of Intern, I gained valuable experience in Exploration as well as in Reservoir
Management Department, where I polished my following interpretation skills
 Seismic Interpretation through Petrol Software.
 Evaluate Petrophysical parameters i.e. Volume of Shale, Saturation of water
through Geo Graphics and Techlog.
 Reservoir Geology interpretation skills i.e. Volumetric calculation of Reservoir.
 Monitor and evaluate drilling operation through SDL unit at Esakheal Well
near Mianwali
While working as Trainee Petroleum Geologist in Exploration Department of Directorate
General Petroleum Concessions (DGPC), Ministry of Energy, Petroleum Division Islamabad.
My Major responsibilities in DGPC are to prepare and investigate Well Commencement,
Miscellaneous Well Notices and to assist in preparation of different cases.
My aforesaid experiences and current position in Halliburton have allowed me
to develop a unique combination of communication skills, arithmetic, data entry and
recording skills along with machinery and technical experience, and I believe I could
make a valuable contribution to your team as logging Geologist. My detailed CV is
attached herewith for your kind perusal.
