Objective: To review chapter in a Powerpoint presentation and to help the class better
understand the diversity of the Hispanic Culture, relating to Language, Culture, and Immigration.
Materials: PowerPoint slide show. 1 Youtube Video, 1 NBC Video. Computer and Elmo to
view the Lesson Plan. The Whiteboard to list some language differences. The book, Spanish for
Dummies. A report found on ELL’s in Nevada. An activity to test you Spanish/English abilities.

Chapter 8 Lesson Plan

Objective: To inform and present our findings on the Hispanic American Children. To inform of
the difference between Hispanic and Latin. To teach some Spanish. To better inform the
conditions in which Hispanic children live.
