1. Name of Campus? SFU, Surrey

2. What kind of programs are offered? SFU Surrey offers many undergraduate
programs in: Faculty of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences,
Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Communication, Art and
Technology, and many more.

3. What is the application deadline? January 31st, 2018 for summer term, February
28th, 2018 for fall term, September 25th, 2018 for spring term.

4. How do I check my application status? Logon to their application portal with your
user ID and password, then select application status from the services page.

5. After I have been accepted, how do I register? Once you pay your fees, you
register (two months before the semester starts) through the student information
system.

6. How do I know what classes to register for? You can go ask for help at SFU’s
counselor’s office, or you check the program you want to get into and take all
pre-requisites.

9. Where are the best places to study on campus? There are many good places to
study on campus. You can study at the library, in the halls where tables and
outlets are supplied, or you can book a meeting room and study with a group.

10. Does the campus offer residence? SFU Surrey does not offer residence, but SFU
Burnaby does.

11. How can I get involved with athletics or clubs and societies? You can go online
and search for the clubs you want to join, or go to the student society room
located near the theatre and join/create clubs there.

12. What surprised you about campus? I was surprised on how many rooms there
were in the campus. The building looks small from the outside. I was surprised
that there was so many windows to allow all the natural light come in and shine
on the desks. There are many labs on the third floor too that surprised me.

13. What did you like about the campus? I like how much natural sunlight you get,
because of how big the windows are in the building. It’s colourful and vibrant, so
it doesn’t necessarily feel like a school all the time. The library is very big and
offers many computer labs so students can always have a computer to work with.
The Skytrain/Bus loop is close by.

14. What did you not like about the campus? I don’t like how the campus is also
connected to the mall, because it can get loud at times since it is a shopping
centre. The only benefit I see, is the food court. The food court can act like a
cafeteria and provides many food choices. Other than that, I don’t have many
things to dislike about the campus.

15. How long was the tour? The campus tour was around 1 – 1.5 hours.

16. Would you apply to this Campus? No because the desired university I want to go
in to is KPU; I don’t like the Surrey campus at SFU, because it is connected to a
mall.
