Production Log

In this screenshot I just began the post-production stages, I imported all of my files
needed for editing and began taking my files and allocating each if them to their
own tracks. Here I am re-listening to all recorded files and finding where there are
stutters or dead silence.

Here I am continuing to listen to all of my recorded files and cutting them

depending where there is dead silence and stutters. I then start to piece different
clips together on the first track.
In this screenshot I’m listening to the levels of the presenters speech in each of the clips
I’ve pieced together, I then change the levels by using the automatic controls depending if
it needs to be louder or quieter.
In this screenshot I’m continuing to change the levels of volume by using the automatic
controls, the yellow bar represents how loud the person within it is speaking, due to me
editing the presenters voice is clearer and louder than the interviewees voices.

In this screenshot I still continue to add tracks to the programme and cutting out dead
silence, stutters and swearing. I’m also ensuring that all tracks are nicely put together and
there isn’t any harsh non-continuing voice.
In this screenshot I’m continuing to edit (cut) my work. Due to the amount of files I
recorded and the reassurance of dead silence, the majority of the production log will
consist of cutting and inserting new files.

In this screenshot, I’m adding different jingles and sound beds so that the radio
programme doesn’t just consist of talking but also consists of different editing techniques.
I’m also continuing to add different files and tracks to my work.
In this screenshot I am changing the volume levels so the entire piece has a consistency of
talking levels, this is so the audience can clearly hear the programme. I am changing each
of the tracks to a certain level depending on how loud that person is talking.

This is my last screenshot and in this I am just finishing the editing stages by changing the
automatic levels gradually upwards, this is due to how quiet that person is talking. I’m also
adding final sound beds to the piece.
