Course Objectives:
Learn how to create music through instrumental ensemble.
Requirements:
Ensemble Rehearsal
Performances Football Games, Parades, Pep Rallies, UIL Events, and Concerts
Consistent daily practice routine
To receive a 90-99:
notes and rhythms must be played accurately with the inclusion of all written
articulations, dynamic signs, and style.
Student attends all performances
To receive a 80-89:
notes and rhythms learned accurately but lacking articulation, dynamics, and style
Student attends all performances

To receive a 70-79:
student cannot perform notes and rhythms of most composition(s).
Student attends most performances
To receive an 0-69:
student cannot perform notes and rhythms of composition (s) and no effort has been
put-forth to learn composition(s). Student has unexcused absences from
performances.
Final Exams: Performance – Fall - Thursday, December 7th 7pm CHS Cafetorium
Spring – Tuesday, May 15th. Students who miss this performance will be required to
make it up during the scheduled exam time the last week of the semester.
I have read and understood the rules and expectations of being the Comfort High School
Marching Band. I also understand that by signing this paper I am giving my consent for
my child to travel and participate with the CHS Band for the listed events on the course
syllabus.
