For the given engagement - identify the key roles or skills performing majority of tasks in that
engagement

Identify the Activity Categories relevant to your engagement - refer sample sheet to get an idea

Identify all possible Activities under that category and hand it over to the engineer who will be
filling it for 5-10 days to get a good sample set
4 Engineers will be filling their activities - One sheet per day in the same excel

Note: Only when the template for the category and activities are available pass it on to the
engineers as consolidation of their activities becomes easy only if the categorization + activities
are same across the sheets

VA : Looked from angle of customer. Differs for customers to customers and circumstances.
Services done that directly impacts the delivery to customers… in a way customer pays for that
work.
ENVA: Activities that do not directly add value but supports the value adding tasks in the value
stream.

NVA: Activities that consume time/infrastructure and does not add value within value stream.
Customer is not paying for these activities.
