Description of how to implement in the class:

This lesson will inform students how to Locate Georgia in relation to region, nation, continent, and
hemispheres. Students will answer a brief pre-assessment question about Georgia’s geographical features
via padlet anonymously. The questions will pertain to the following key terms:

1. Location

a. Where is Georgia located on a global perspective?

2. Continent

b. Which Continent is Georgia located on?

3. Hemisphere

c. Which Hemisphere is Georgia located on?

4. Nation

d. Which Nation is Georgia apart of?

Following the pre-assessment, students will preview a lesson with key terms pertaining to Georgia’s
geographical features through a Sway presentation. During the presentation, after each key term, the pre-
assessment questions will be re-visited. Time will be allotted for students to answer the questions after each
key term is discussed.
