2013-Present Marine Corps Reserve

· Platoon Sergeant (2017 - Present)


· Spearheaded the training and combat readiness of 39 Marines and 1 Navy Corpsman – training included military operations in
urban terrain, tactical operations of the Marine Corps rifle squad in a simulated combat environment to seize objectives using
various processes and plans
· Used simple data entry and basic formulas within Microsoft Excel to calculate total numbers of equipment and training history
for individual Marines and maintain up to date contact information for Marines and their families
· Created training plans and various training programs to fit the overall training order for a 12-month schedule to prepare
Marines for a combined arms integrated training exercise
· Training included tracking Marines during the month via email, phone and text message to ensure that satellite
training was being completed in addition to in-person training classes conducted during monthly drill weekends
· Squad Leader (2015 - 2017)
· Extrapolated mission requirements from a 12-month mission plan to create and execute the training and combat readiness of
12 Marines
· Accountable for Marines and equipment, responsible for controlling and commanding Marines on the battlefield to maneuver
and engage the enemy in a method that assists in accomplishing the units overall mission
· Responsible for ensuring the execution of the training and tactics during a graded two-week field operation as it pertained to
the 12 Marines under my care
· Learned the importance of small unit leadership, how to incorporate effective training plans to include physical fitness and
tactical knowledge of combat situations
· Infantry Rifleman (2013 – Present)
· Graduated from Marine Corps School of Infantry – West with the military occupational specialty of infantry rifleman
· Trained in basic military infantry tactics surrounding the use of tactics in conventional and unconventional warfare to include
the use of explosives, weapons handling and manipulation and the coordination with outside elements and support to
coordinate attacks and the destruction of objectives

2013-Present SMU Police Department

· Police Officer (2016 – Present)


· Attended state and national funerals, memorials and ceremonies as a member of the department honor guard
· Served as the escort officer for a line of duty death surviving family – responsibilities included escorting the family to
Washington DC for National Police Week
· Patrolled the campus and areas surrounding the campus on the night shift
· Developed a firm knowledge of the campus community and Dallas community
· Assisted in data collection of Greek life housing off-campus locations to assist the Dallas Police and Student Life Office by using
basic excel methods to track addresses and individuals associated with the addresses
· Created regular community outreach messages and engagements for social media platforms – posts described department
activity, provided information bulletins vital to the public, and vocalized national safety and policing issues to the campus
community
· Dispatcher (2013-2016)
· Trained and evaluated newly hired dispatchers as a Communications Training Officer
· Newly hired dispatchers were evaluated on their knowledge of the campus community and department procedures,
ability to operate under pressure and multi-task to communicate and receive information during high stress
situations
· Developed standard operating procedures for the computer aided dispatch program
