Select Outreach and Mission Efforts (While at Fairmount)
Thursday Night Fellowship at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital: Throughout the year, we take a
group of volunteers (youth to adult) to lead an evening worship service at Trenton Psychiatric
Hospital. My responsibilities include but are not limited to: coordinating volunteers, organizing
travel, and planning an interactive worship service written specifically for the patients.
2017 Confirmation Class Mission Trip to Baltimore, MD: Opportunities for our congregational
youth to be involved with mission and outreach have been historically limited in scope. This
past summer, I organized a weekend trip for our confirmation class to work with The Center in
Baltimore, MD. Our youth were very moved by the opportunity to meet, to worship with, and
to spend time in fellowship with children and youth from different cultural backgrounds.
Interfaith Hospitality Network (Family Promise): For four weeks every year, we work with IHN
(Family Promise) of Hunterdon County and neighboring congregations to host homeless
families in our church’s community house. As pastor, I help oversee this collaborative effort to
provide meals, lodging, support, and fellowship for our participating families.
