Wave Train Interaction vs. Trimaran Configuration

on the structural requirements of the vessel are considered in the
selection of the optimal design

Structural Optimization – Ongoing Work
„ The design pressures and accelerations developed with the
hydrodynamic analysis can be translated directly to Finite
Element Analysis (FEA) models.
„ FEA provides a direct assessment of the variations in
motions and loads on the structural requirements of the vessel.

„ Based on present results, a structural optimization routine is


being developed
