AMENDMENT I

To the Constitution of the Calhoun County High School Democratic Party

The organization of a county party:

Section 1 – The Governing Body

1(a) The Governing Body of the Calhoun County High School Democrats consists of
the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. This body is selected by a
democratic election that takes place at the end of each school year.

Section 2 - The Representative Body

2(a) - When the procedures surrounding a county party are implemented there
must be equal representation among each school. Each school will participate in a
democratic election that selects a Chairperson to act as executive over the school
wide general body and to represent their school-wide body to the Governing Body
during meetings. The Representative chairpersons in the body have a binding vote,
which determines the amendments, and rules that are put in place. The Governing
Body limits their power through a system of Checks and Balances.

Section 3 – Three Branches of Government

Three separate but equal branches of government govern the Calhoun County High
School Democratic Party.

3(a) – The Governing Body or Executive Board – Duties outlined in Section 3

3(b) – The Representative Body – This Branch consists of the chairpersons from
each school who act as executives over that particular school, and represent that
school to the Governing Body.
3(c) – The General Body – Consists of the registered democrats within the party.

Section 4: Electoral Process Within A County Party

4(a) - A 2/3rds Vote is required from each branch of government within the Calhoun
County High School Democratic Party. There must be a half plus one present from
the General Body in order to enact any rules or produce amendments or legislation.

*When a digital election process is implemented there is still a requirement for one
half plus one of the General Body to vote for any amendment to be pushed.
