Past memories
60.96cm x 91.44cm
Medium: Digital collage
September, 2016

This piece was made to define my past and the man I am today. Instead of trying to introduce a
technique and an art style, I wanted to bring out the memories of my past. In addition, I wanted
to show the overwhelming emotions that I have kept inside of me. Inspired by Salvador Dali’s
Persistence of Memory, I used the same ideology that Dali used with the melting clocks and used
it in my digital collage. Most of my images were self taken and only one image was researched
online; due to location, I had to capture the image myself.

Self-portrait
Dec 9, 2016

This piece was created to present an acrylic self-portrait. It emulates Rene Magritte’s The Son of
Man. I wanted to present a mysterious piece for all to question the meaning of the work. Just like
Rene Magritte, he presented the visual work and let others try to figure out the meaning. Inspired
by Rene Magritte The Son of man I used the same ideology that Magritte used throughout
several of his pieces that he’s created; To evoke mystery. The work defines my skills with
acrylic and flesh tones.

Pipe Line

Mixed Media
3/31/17

This project focuses on the Keystone XL pipeline, which is a huge major environmental issue
currently in the united states. Inspired by Mark dion I decided to use a crate to represent a use of
containment. Also adding the pipe to represent the pipeline itself. I was always fond of keeping
the environment safe and making sure that there weren’t any issues that would harm or endanger
species around us. The overall piece applies the idea of an environmental issue.

Endless journey
February 2, 2017

This was a piece created to define me as a growing artist and how this community or city that I
belong to affects me and how have I affected this community. Inspired by the famous movement
pop art and the famous artist Vincent Van Gogh. Emulating the constant repetition of stroke from
the work of Van Gogh; Starry night was a piece that allowed me to see nature from a different
perspective, by not only looking but rather connect and feeling the senses around me. The work
mentally distorted my way of seeing the world.

'Room' With a View

58cm x 20cm
Wood
April 2017

“Room” with a view is a sculpture created to show space that mostly everyone is in. It could be
an area used to study, a bedroom, or even the bathroom. It’s a space that certain individual walk
into. Not every space is the same; the hallways in the school is its own space, but then once I
walk into class that is its own space. Every space gives off a different vibe, rather it’s a small
space there is still something to it. This is the intention of the sculpture presenting a “Room”
with a view.

This piece was created to describe an environmental issue in today's society such as degradation,
deforestation, water pollution etc. by creating a bonsai tree out of copper wire I was able to
present a Industrial vs Organic piece. The work is suppose to send a message to viewers that
behind this beautiful piece there were consequences. Inspired by Alexander Calder’s The Golden
Fish Bowl, I emulated his idea on creating not only a wire piece, but to show awareness to
animals and the environment.

Sept 1, 2017
Block print

This artwork was created to present an environmental issue. It emulates the idea of Edgar
Tolson's “Fall Of Man.” I wanted to show people what happens when trees get cut down and
when it continues. The amount of damage being done to the forest and what would happen to the
land when all the trees disappear. Inspired by Edgar Tolson “Fall Of Man” I used the ideology
that Tolson used throughout his pieces. Using religion and craftsmanship to express his culture
and his work of using wood.

The Landscape painting created with acrylic paint. Inspired by the artist Thomas Cole and the
