Current Governors of all states of India

In India there are total 29 states and seven (7) Union territories. For Every state There is Governor appointed
by the president for a term of five years. For the Union territories there is Lieutenant-governors or Administrator
appointed by the president for a term of five years.

The governors of the state and Lieutenant-governors of union territories of India have Executive,
Legislative, Discretionary powers and rights. Governors have the same power and functions as that of the
president of India, but at the state level. In India, a lieutenant governor is appointed as the in charge of a union
territory.

Current lieutenant governors and administrators of all union territories of

India

The lieutenant governor is appointed only for three territories, i.e. President of India appoints Lieutenant
governor for Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Delhi and Puducherry. Other territories like Dadra and Nagar
Haveli, Daman and Diu, Lakshadweep have an administrator appointed, who is an IAS o icer. Administrator
