What are 3 ways an object can accelerate?

1. Speed Up

When hitting the white ball with the cue stick, the white ball speeds up from the force of the cue.
2. Slow Down

After hitting the yellow ball, as it’s traveling more distance it starts to lose it speed and
acceleration.
3. Change Direction
When the yellow ball hits the side of the pool table, it bounces back and changes direction
resulting in a different change in velocity and acceleration.
