While on foot patrol near a GC residence hall, Officer Osborne observed a group of
people being loud and then saw a woman run into the dorm’s sign and fall to the ground.
When she made contact with the four students, they were all coherent and admitted to
having consumed alcoholic beverages that night. When Officer Osborne asked one of the
women for her ID, she responded that she did not know where her fake ID was located.
She then corrected herself saying that she did not know where her wallet was. Officer
Osborne asked the woman who ran into the sign if she was ok. The woman responded
saying she had intended to run to a friend, who was standing near the sign, but she instead
ran into the sign. Officer Osborne turned her attention to another woman and asked if she
was alright. This woman stated she was fine, however, her speech was very slurred, and
she was unstable on her feet. When she consented to a breath test, she registered positive
at a .165 BrAC. She was placed under arrest for the underage possession of alcohol and
public drunkenness. Officer Osborne informed three of the students that they would be
