Sandi is a lifelong member of Our Lady of Peace parish, and

She believes communication starts with LISTENING!
She will work for all of Weld County to:

• Ensure all voices are heard.


o Oil and gas production is of vital importance to Weld County. Sandi will work with the industry to build trusted
relationships with surrounding land owners.
o Use by Special Review should be the exception not the norm. Sandi will work with developers and surrounding
residents to make sure the county’s comprehensive plan, Weld County Code and building codes align for smart
growth.
o Sandi respects Weld County’s rich agricultural history, including animals, plants and biofuels.
o Sandi supports open meetings and records, including live streamed meetings and online publishing of emails and
other records.
o Sandi will support the Weld County Council with resources needed to fulfill its charge under the Weld County
Charter.
o Sandi supports the Home Rule Charter and will work to align the charter’s intent with Weld County Code.
o Sandi respects the appearance of impropriety and will work to make sure Weld residents can trust their elected
officials are acting within the rules.
o Ensure none of Weld’s seniors, children or those needing mental and behavioral health support slip through the
cracks by making sure employees have the resources they need to manage their caseloads.
• Protect taxpayer money.
o Continue Weld’s long history of a tax free, debt free, fiscally responsible county.
o Ensure a high-level of county staff by recruiting and retaining qualified employees who are supported through
best practices and industry-competitive salaries.
o Ensure that Weld’s top-level management and department heads reside in Weld County and that salary and
benefits are commensurate to job duties.
o Develop a plan to reduce the number of working retirees.
o Develop performance measures for programs that use taxpayer money to ensure they are working and not an
unnecessary drain on resources.
• Support all of Weld’s elected officials.
o Work to mend divisions among Weld’s elected officials so that commissioners, the sheriff, the clerk and recorder,
the assessor, the district attorney and the Weld County Council work together for the betterment of Weld.
• Keep Weld safe.
o Equip the Sheriff’s office with the tools it needs, including the ability to accommodate a growing need for mental
or behavioral issues that go hand-in-hand with criminal behavior.
• Have an open-door policy with communities.
o Sandi will work with all of Weld’s municipal leaders to make sure everyone has a voice in Weld’s growth and
infrastructure, so that growth is planned in a responsible and deliberate way.
• Lead by example.
o Sandi is humble and relies on her faith to carry her through difficult situations. She recently faced a life-
threatening ordeal where she regained a new lease on life. She feels called to give back to her community and
neighbors that deserve respectful, thoughtful leadership. She will listen to everyone before making a decision
and will utilize every resource available to her to make the right decisions. She is thoughtful and will have the
balance to communicate and be respectful.
