It was a terrible day for Laurianne, who was 29 years at that time.

She was
living in the south of France with his family. She was married to Federic, and
they had 3 children, but the love between them was absolutely dead. The
youngest child was one year old, the medium child was three, and the oldest
was five. Federic’s job was to grow a garden, while his wife Laurianne did the
tasks of the house, and the oldest child helped her. In order to maintain the
family, Laurianne had to wash the clothes of other people in the river. She went
to work to the river every morning of the week except Sundays. She worked for
five hours on Mondays, and the other days four hours. The river was very long,
wide and deep, and it was located in a high mountain. In this river she met one
man of 32 years, he was tall, thin, with black short hair. His name was Carlos
and he came from Madrid, in Spain. They spent all the days together and in the
end they fell in love. The first days she was very anxious with Federic, but in the
end she abandoned his family and they split up.

Firstly, she didn’t miss her family because she was living with Carlos. One day,
they went to Spain to spend a week there. The first day was perfect; they visited
the city... but the second day there was terrible weather, and they decided to go
back home. The day after was a Monday, and she went to the river to wash the
clothes with Carlos. He fell in the river and he died because this river had a
heavy strength. This day was terrible for Laurianne, and she was absolutely sad
and alone.

It was a hot day, Abigail was going to take water in a river near they're town. Abigail
had a twin sister called Stephany but they used to call Stephee. Stephany, when she
was born she had a strength problem. It affect to her head, she needed a person the
24h a day. Abigail loved helping her twin sister, but sometimes she got tired and her
mother and father had to took her place.

Well, going back to where we were Abigail was in the river when a man called her, he
said:

'Hey, are you Abigail Williams?'

'Yes... How do you know me?'

'I'm a friend of you father. I'm here to tell you that your sister is very ill'

'Wait... What?'

'I'm sorry, but yes...'

'Is it her illness?'

'It's sad but... Yes'

'Let's get a doctor'

Abigail went fast to go to see her sister at her house. When she arrived, her mother
and father were crying, and Stephee was with her eyes closed. She didn't seem to be
breathing. So Abigail tried to speak with her and suddenly Stephee spoke with her eyes
totally closed.

'Baby...Stephee...Please don't leave me alone in this world'

'I won't give up, I swear I won't, not till the end.'

'Don't say that you won't leave me, not today.'

Then Stephee smiled and the silence was again at the room.

After that special moment, Abigail heard someone knocking the door, she thought it
could be her father's friend with the doctor.

'I'm coming' said Abigail

But, when she opened the door, she saw her sister.

How was this possible?

She ran out of the room, and her sister was there. She couldn't understand how that
was possible.
She was shocked, she went to tell her parents but there was nobody there.

She woke up, and it was all a dream.

I have to tell you that Abigail was an orphan, but that happened 5 years ago.

a young woman that lives in a town near the coast of Ireland. It is so cold
that her cheeks are red, and her skin is white like the snow.

Her family is not very rich, so she is working as the person who gets water.
In the picture she is on the beach watching the sunset and thinking about
all her problems. One of them is that she has just broken up with her
boyfriend Eric. She is in love with Eric’s best friend. Anyway, she has also
lot of problems with the money, because her family is really poor and they
will lose their house, so they will have to leave in the street if they don’t
pay the rent. This makes Melany feel worried for things that a normal girl
of her age wouldn’t have to.

At this moment she is working for a little money. She has to go and put
water on these jars, so she has to go to the sea, fill the jars and go to the
town. She has to do it twice a day. Actually, this month she does it three
times a day because she wants to buy a new dress for the dance of the
town that is celebrated every year.

In conclusion Melany has not a desirable live, but in spite of the fact that
she has money problems and sometimes with Eric, she is still happy, and
hopes to get up every day and work hard, and she expects that if she
works hard all her life. she will be whatever she wants.

THE STORY OF BALTASARA

It was the middle of the 20th century, specifically at the beginning of the
First World War. There were a lot of people fighting in that conflict, one of
which it was Filemón, an English man that was normal. He worked as a
nurse in the hospital of Manchester. His wife, Baltasara, was really sad
because she didn’t know if he would survive.

It was a cloudy and cold day in Manchester. Baltasara was in the lake in
front of her house, picking up water to cook, to drink, clean and other
applications. She looked at the water with sorrow, thinking about what
she would do in case her husband wouldn’t come back. Suddenly a man
appeared in the horizon, at first she didn’t know who he was.

It was a cloudy and foggy autumn evening. It was a hot day. Mary was
next to the river. She was alone in this big camp of wheat located in
Poland. Mary was a middle aged woman whose husband was dead
because the Nazi police had killed him to be Jewish. This day she decided
to go to the river to collect some water. She was really tired and her
cheeks were red because she had been walking for one hour to collect it.
Mary was a little bit poor. She wore some clean but old clothes. All of her
garments were of her mum or other people that gave her. Although it was
a warm day she wear a long sleeve shirt because she didn’t want that the
police discover her identity. The police put all the Jewish people a yellow
tattoo that identified all of them.
Then she heard shots of some guns and she was afraid. The smell of
gunpowder and the scream of some people made her be worried. She
didn’t know what to do so she took the vase and started to run. Then she
thought that she could go to her aunty house that it was nearer than her
house.
When she entered her aunty house, she didn’t see anybody. After that
started to remember that the screams of before were familiar. She
thought that they may be in a hurry. Maybe the Nazi police put all them in
the Auschwitz camp. She thought that she would pass the night in their
house and at the first hour of the morning she would catch the train and
go to Auschwitz. This night was not the best of her life because she could
not sleep because of the nightmares. The next day she was going to go to
the train and when she entered she saw…

At first sight you would say this is the picture of a normal girl that looks as if she were
sad. But behind this beautiful picture there is a very cruel story.

When this girl was young she used to live in Chernobyl happily with her family. They
lived near a nuclear station and they only had one house next to theirs, no one else
wanted to live in that place. However, she was very happy living with her brother and
parents and she was always very eager to go to the neighbour’s house to play with the
kid of that house, Daniel, who was the same age as her; fourteen.

They had known each other since they were really young, because their parents were
very close friends.

Despite the fact that they lived in a very big house, they were really poor and so her
brother and father had to work in a factory fourteen hours a day to earn for a living.
Therefore, that left the housework for her and her mother.

Years and years passed and everything went on as always, but four years later, she and
Daniel decided to marry each other and because Daniel had started working in the
nuclear station, he earned enough money to maintain both their families and he
offered work to her father and brother. At the moment, she was very happy because
they were living much better and now they were able to afford a lot of new things such
as fish or fresh meat.

But a year later, when she went to a city to buy food for the family, the nuclear station
exploded, and with the explosion killed all her family and the near cities. She was not
affected by the explosion but the sadness made her cry until tears would not fall
anymore down her cheeks.

The rescue team evacuated the entire country because of the radioactivity and took a
photo of all the survivors later; this is the traumatic story behind this beautiful photo.

In this picture we can see a woman that is twenty years old. She is working in her father’s field.
The field is so big… This family lives in the north of Holland. It’s a Summer day, and hot, and
she is looking at the horizon because she is very sad.

The story started when she had an argument with his father, and this is the only placewhere
she would be in peace. She argued with her father because the previous night she had met her
friends and she arrived at six o’clock but her father said to arrive at 4 o’clock. When she
arrived, her father was waiting for her at the door, reading an old adventure book. Carlos, her
father, when he heard her daughter, started to shout because he was very worried, because in
there were soldiers who were fighting in the second war. There had a very hard argument
during all the morning, because the girl said that she was older enough to decide, and his
furious father hit her. She started cry, and she started to run away

When she arrived to the field she started to cry. When she looked away, she saw an old man
that came nearer. He was Carlos, who started to apologize he said that he didn’t want to hit to
her. They excuse each other, and started to walk to her house. It started to rain and they spoke
about when she was young. When they arrive to the house an uniformed man was in the door
with a letter. The man was asking for Carlos. Carlos opened the card, and two minutes later
started to cry and told her daughter that he would go to he war the following week. When his
father went to the war she started to run away and she arrived to the countryside.

It was a shiny day, the birds were singing. Bees were busy looking for nectar and frogs were
croaking around. Like every other day, Catherine went to the river to refill two large cans.
Catherine lived in Chimrae, a little village far away from Dublin, the capital. It was like living in
another country and she had never been there in her life. She lived with the rest of her family
in a big country house, the house was very old with lot’s of rooms and corridors .

She had always felt different because all her family had blue eyes, while hers were dark brown.
Her mum, dad, older brother and grandma were all red-haired while she had long dark wavy
hair. They all work as farmers except Marne, the grandmother who was a great cook.
Catherine was sixteen years old, she was a pretty and adventurous girl, and she wish she could
go to the school, and didn’t work every day with the cows and the sheep.

She was in charge of going every morning very early to the river and return, quickly to work,
with water for all the family. This time of the day was when she used to think about her live.
One day, when she reached the age of seventeen she decided she had to make a change in her
way of living.

When they were taking breakfast with the rest of the family she announced them she had
decided to move away to study at the capital, and asked them to help her.

She was positively surprised by their parent’s reaction, who encouraged her to go ahead and
helped her to find a place to live at a friend’s house in Dublin and pay for her school fees. She
realised that her dreams had become true.

She did quick progress at learning at his new school, and travelled back to her parent’s place
regularly.

This story starts in a small village of England called Chippenham, where a

young girl lives. She’s called Catherine and she’s in love with the most
handsome guy of the village named Robert whose parents had a noble
descendance, nevertheless, on the other hand, Catherine is from a farmer’s
family. She has three younger brothers and sisters and she is in charge of
taking care of them. Due to the fact that her mother had died the previous year
and her father worked all the day. Therefore she hadn’t got free time to spend
doing things she enjoyed.

One day, while Catherine was buying groceries she saw a guy, who might had
her age, he looked healthy, strong, and he was a handsome, tall, English boy.
She was staring at him when suddenly a thief pulled her bag. Immediately the
boy started to rush off after him. Just 20 meters afterwards, the guy caught the
robber.

They presented themselves, his name was Robert and he came from a rich
family, but that’s something she already knew. Catherine didn’t tell him she was
from a low-class family. On the other hand she made up that her father was
finding a guy in order to marry her. Then, the guy felt something strange inside
him that told him not to leave that beautiful girl. She had straight and brown hair,
she had a wide back in contrast of her thin and smooth face.

The couple started dating, but she hadn’t got enough free time because her
father didn’t let her go out. Catherin’s father didn’t know she was hanging out
with boy. However, the guy wanted to meet her father in order to ask his hand’s
daughter. The problem is that she was scared of what would happen if the boy
discovered that she was from a low-class family. So, she went away for thinking
about what she should decide.

It was in the prairie where her mother was buried, she rolled her sleeps up with
a worrying expression in his face.

people get lost… and they never return. The legend says that the responsible of the
disappearances is a ghost that makes people enter to the forest...

19th CENTURY

It was a sunny day, a beautiful spring day. The sun was shining and the birds were
singing… but for Molly, it was the worst day that she had ever had. She was very angry
with her family because they want her to get married with an old rich man, and she
didn’t want it. Her mother, that didn’t listen to Molly’s opinion, told her to go to the
river to pick up some water.

Molly, went to the river, but she didn’t catch the water, she only stay there watching
the water, thinking what to do. She thought about two options, the first was staying in
the village and get married with the man, the other, was leaving to another place
without her parents knowing. She followed the second option.

That afternoon, she returned to her house and gave the water to her mother, Molly
was very nervous about her plan. At night, when everybody was sleeping, she took a
bag with food and clothes inside, and she went out, to start her new live. She spent all
the night walking through the countryside, and when the sun went up, she fell asleep
under a tree.

She woke up at afternoon, suddenly, she heard a noise behind the tree. She turn
around and looked what was the strange noise and she saw a boy. He was a tall boy,
with brown eyes and hair. He seemed to be the same age as Molly,

‘Who are you?... and what are you doing there watching me sleep?’ asked Molly to the
mysterious boy
‘ Er… I just… I thought that you were dead…’
‘ What?? I was only sleeping’ replied Molly

The boy introduced himself later, his name was Jack. He was very funny, and Molly was
very happy talking with him, but he was a little bit strange. Jack suggest her to go with
him to his village, molly thought that it was a wonderful idea, because she didn’t has
anywhere to go. But… in that moment Molly didn’t knew that the village of Jack didn’t
exist…

Jack and Molly started walking until the night came.

‘ Jack… where’s the village?’ asked Molly

‘It’s really near, is just entering that forest over there…’
