CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

This study aims to find a solution to enhance and improve the present situation of

the facilities/ amenities for the occupants through Munsell Color Theory.

Specifically this study aims to answer the following question:

1. What will be the effective use and design of the space concerning the needs

of its target occupants?

2. How will Munsell Color Theory will boost the satisfaction and living lifestyle of

the occupants of San Francesco Villagio?

3. What will be the other consideration and how will these be able to help

transform the space into a more efficient solution?

OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY

1. To propose an interior renovation of the facilities/ amenities of San Francesco

Villagio to use the space efficiently.

2. To achieve a design that will have a positive effect to the users in the

community through its physical appearance, function, and benefits.

3. To enhance the quality and function of the facilities/amenities in the community

through the application of Munsell Color Theory.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY


For the occupants of San Francesco, to have a place that enhances the health,

lifestyle , wellness and performance by creating a different workspace for their daily use.

By considering the alterations and improvements needed and knowing the desires of the

target occupants of the space and their way of life, this will help them to improve their

perspective and quality of living.

As a research, it will serve as a guide for future interior designs that promote how

to improve people’s way of living.

The study focuses mainly on enchancing the physical appearance and functions

through considering a user- friendly, budget- friendly, sustainable and aesthetically

inclined design solution

SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS

This scope and limitations of the study is focused mainly on the study of Munsell

Color Theory and how can it be successful through applying it in creating a design

solution for San Francesco Villagio located at Brgy. Lallana,Trece Martirez City, Cavite,

which will supply an effective appearance and quality to the space.

Redesigning San Francesco Villagio will be limited to
