This letter is to recommend Amanda Mansour for a position as a teacher within your school
district. I have known Amanda since she began her journey to become a teacher; first as her
advisor then as her instructor and now as her friend. I have observed her in the classroom and was
impressed by her creativity and caring. As a mentor we have had wonderful discussions regarding
effective teaching strategies. Her teaching experiences have included working with diverse
students, and those with numerous disabilities.

Amanda is a very effective teacher. Her work demonstrates skill in teaching and understanding
the needs of individual students. She is student centered, works well with other adults, and
displays excellent interpersonal skills. She is innovative and is willing to listen and learn. Her
teaching in Abu Dhabi is evidence of her wanting to experience new things and then translate
these experiences into her teaching. Her work on the Media Community and Parent
Communication teams while in Abu Dhabi demonstrates her commitment to an inclusive
approach where parents and communities are all part of the child's learning experiences.

As a teacher and college professor with over 30 years in education, I am aware of the skills
needed to be an effective teacher. I believe Amanda Mansour possesses these skills. Her
previous experiences coupled with her maturity and pleasant demeanor will make her an asset to
