Philosophy

I believe every teacher should go into work with a positive mindset, and attitude. When

walking into the classroom students will have a sense of how the teacher feels that day being

positive will help the students be positive as well. I also believe that a teacher should have high

expectations in their classroom, this will help the students grow and become more confident in

their work. My philosophy of teaching is that every student feels welcome and confident in the

ability to learn within the classroom.

When teaching it is important to know every students individual needs. Every student has

different struggles, minimizing those struggles and making sure each student is growing

educationally is most important in teaching. If a student isn't learning the lessons you teach

then you have to redirect the student by finding different ways to help the student learn, that is

an ultimate goal for teachers.

Coming up with lessons for student can be hard, but finding ways to have fun while doing it

is a great way to keep the students involved and engaged. Lessons are revolved around what

the students need to learn, learning new topics can be hard so finding more interesting way to

do those topics would relieve some stress. Teachers find it important to keep students engaged

and happy while learning because then the teacher knows that the students want to learn and

aren't forced to do the work. They also know that the students are eager to know more

information and it makes them feel they are succeeding as teachers as well.

While being a teacher you have to think about assessments and the way you're assessing

the students. Each student learns differently so one assessment might work for one student but

be too hard for another. The teacher has to think about what will help each student the most.
Making individual assessments is good for the students because they can each succeed in their

own way and improve more than just setting up one standardized assessment for every student.

Because teachers want what's best for their students they always think of ways to help their

students and to become better teachers along the way.

My goal as a teacher is to make every student feel welcome and confident in what they are

doing. I want every student to feel smart and capable to succeed, if all my students feel this way

when I teach them then I will feel accomplished. I would love for the students to break their own

goals and become smarter than they already are. Also, I would love to become a better teacher

year after year for the students. Making sure I come to school everyday happy and positive so

that I can help my students feel that way throughout school, or to get through their bad morning,

just to be that role model for them in their life. Throughout life you face challenges, trying your

best to face them is the best way to succeed. If there is a challenge at work or with a student

ways to get through it would be to stay positive and think of the students. If I student has a

challenge with the work that is given, just going over what they worked in and making changes

for them is a great way to fix that challenge. Working through the issues will be one of the best

ways to get past all your challenges. Being able to make a difference for the students is the

greatest feeling to have, so through the bad times being able to think of that is the best way to

fight through the challenges.
