SUMMARY:

MERAH PUTIH MEMANGGIL THE MOVIE

The story begins with the movie hijacking a medium-sized yacht flag Indonesia, in

the territory of Tongo state (fiction) by international terrorists.

One crew member was shot dead on board for insubordination. Four crew members

including captains along with three French citizens, one Canadian citizen and one

South Korean citizen were kidnapped and taken to an area in the southern part of a

neighboring country.

The terrorist's leader asked for ransom from countries whose citizens were kidnapped

and of course including Indonesia. TNI can not do anything because the terrorists are

in other countries / neighbors. Neighboring countries are also being overwhelmed by

these terrorists because their own Government is experiencing many domestic

problems. However, because of the approach of the Government of Indonesia

neighboring countries gave permission and the opportunity to TNI to enter the area

to free hostages is limited within 2x24 hours.

For that reason TNI created a Joint Operation plan involving all Forces. TNI AD

conducted a closed operation/dispatch by sending 1 team from Anti-Terrorist

Kopassus Battalion which was deployed at night free fall. In a state of standby will

be assisted by combat aircraft from the Air Force and naval war ships on the beach

and Kopaska operations or Frog Troops and Marine Battalion to be landed. All these

TNI units were finally involved.

Captain Norman (Maruli Tampubolon) opened his gown after practice. He saw a

news video about the hijacking of an Indonesian-flagged yacht by an international

terrorist group.

The scene is the beginning of the story of Merah Putih Memanggil movie that is

produced by the production house TeBe Silalahi.

Acting as a terrorist leader is the role artist Ariyo Wahab who plays Diego, the

ruthless. He was assisted by his accomplice named Lopez (Restu Sinaga). They are

a terrorist group that occupies the fictional state of Tongo, Indonesia's neighbor. Their

group managed to hold several crew of cruise ships consisting of Indonesians and

French citizens. Their mission is to ask a ransom for a country whose citizens are

held hostage. If not obeyed, they do not hesitate to kill hostages.

Unfortunately the Tongo Government officials are powerless to deal with the

aggressive terrorist group. They then gave access to the TNI to rescue the hostages.

Norman ihbyang is an anti-terror commander of Kopassus assigned to rescue

hostages. His team was assisted by a joint force of elements of the Army, the Navy

and the Air Force. They only have 48 hours to save the hostages.

During the rescue operation, clashes between TNI and terrorist forces are inevitable.

The death toll from both sides continues to collapse.

Although the special forces managed to rescue the hostages in their original mission

procedures, they were hunted down and pursued by rebel forces.

Movies with the genre of war action is rarely produced, considering the budget and

property needed is very complex and not easy to access of TNI properties, facilities

and Head Quarter.

Although similar stories are many in the film industry, but at least this film try to

offer a different visualization of the genres mostly emerging in Indonesia.

The moral of story this movie is very simple, we must appreciate the heroes. We

haven’t become a true hero when we still thinking about becoming a hero.
