1. (a) Determine the buckling load of a column with both ends are hinged using higher- (12)
order differential equation for column buckling.

(b) State the principle of energy approach for solving stability problems. (4)

2. (a) By Energy method find the critical load of column of both ends are fixed. (10)

(b) How can you classify the buckling problems? (5)

3. (a) A column of length ‘l’ is hinged at both ends and having a moment of inertia of I for (16)

column using Rayleigh – Ritz method.
