Title - Static Analysis and Dynamic analysis of Foundation for Textile Loom
Machine

Abstract:
In India, it is noticed that a remarkable advancement going in field of science & technology.
Indian textile is the one of the leading textiles industries in the world. The power looms sector
contributes a major role in the textile manufactures of India. Traditional hand methods weaving
have been replaced by modern and speedy looms machine. Looms Machines are one of the most
important part of Textile Industries. Rapid industrialization of the country involves production of
new machineries with high operating speed of Looms Machine. These machines impart
harmonic load on the structure which causes vibration and/or shock, which are transmitted into
their support systems. Till recently, it has been the practice to design machine foundations on the
basis of rules of thumb and empirical formulae. However, with the recent advances in the fields
of structural and soil dynamics, the design principles have gradually been established for typical
groups of machine foundations. It has thus become imperative for the designers to know the
various aspects in the analysis, design and construction of machine foundations in order to
produce efficient and economical designs. In previous studies, the design of a machine
foundation is generally made for steam engines, disel engine, turbogenerators, rotary
compressors and impact type machines. Practically in India, it is generally observed that though
the IS code is available on foundation for reciprocating type machines, in textile looms industry
foundation is constructed as per thumb rules. Therefore in this paper review of how carry out
static and dynamic analysis of foundation for textile loom machine is illustrated.
